Web attraction - How can it be done

With an Axis network camera you can add images to a Web site with rather limited effort.

The network camera includes all the software needed - it is basically just to install and go.

You will need a server to host the Web site and the image.

The computer can be placed locally or at an Internet Server Provider (ISP).

The network camera will regularly connect to the host computer and automatically replace the old image with a new one.

Procedure

- Install the network camera on your computer network.
- Using the network camera wizard, create a program for continuously uploading pictures to the host computer using the File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
- Create an HTML page including the JPEG image taken by the network camera.
- Upload the page to the host computer.

Note: Several companies offer free Web hosting. However, the available space is typically limited to 10 MB and some sort of advertising will normally be added.
